Speaking at a press conference in the build-up to PSG’s final Ligue 1 match before facing Arsenal in the Champions League, manager Luis Enrique said he would immediately give up an unbeaten season in Ligue 1 if it meant Les Parisiens reach the final of the UEFA Champions League. “Records aren’t our primary goal, titles are. If someone assured me that losing to Nice would get me into the Champions League final, I’d sign up immediately,” said Enrique at PSG Campus on Thursday afternoon before Les Parisiens face OGC Nice on Friday evening. “But since no one can guarantee that, and since we’re an ambitious team and we’re capable of breaking this record (of being undefeated in the league), I think it’s important for our confidence to go into the Arsenal game giving 100%.”Les Parisiens were held by FC Nantes on Tuesday night (1-1) with a heavily rotated side. Les Canaris managed to cause PSG trouble when they sat in a low block, grabbing an equaliser via Douglas Augusto. They do however, remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 this season. PSG have won 24 out of their 30 Ligue 1 matches this season, drawing six and not losing a single game in the league this season. With six games remaining of the 2024-2025 season, Les Parisiens officially retained the title, adding a record-breaking 13th Ligue 1 championship to their trophy cabinet. GFFN | George Boxall
