We're back with another edition of our MLS Power Rankings as matchday 4 is now in the rearview mirror.

With plenty of the big teams dropping points over the weekend, and a bundle of underdogs beginning their march up the table, our standings have experienced a major shakeup.

10. FC Cincinnati (👎)

Cincy remain in the top-10 by the skin of their teeth after a second MLS loss in three games.

Their saving grace remains the high-flying start they made in the first couple of weeks of the season. Their top-end talent will eclipse most of the teams around them in the Eastern Conference pack.

9. Colorado Rapids (🆕)

The Rapids have very quietly started the season unbeaten with two wins and as many draws.

The play of goalkeeper Zack Steffen has been the standout footnote in the early few weeks of the campaign for Chris Armas' side, but they've ridden the USMNT stopper to their first ever unbeaten start through the first four MLS in club history.

8. LAFC (👎)

The star-studded Black and Gold have hit a little patch of ice in the opening few weeks of their campaign.

While they triumphed over the Columbus Crew in the Concacaf Champions Cup, they've looked well below their level in two straight MLS losses.

You can bet LAFC will be back in the picture before long, but at the moment they don't seem to have really found the recipe with a new-look group.

7. St. Louis City (🆕)

After a lackluster start, City have jumped up into the picture with two straight wins, notably over the Sounders and the Galaxy respectively.

Olof Mellberg has seemingly found the balance between defense and attack with a solid spine down the middle of the team, and with the Energizer crowd behind them, they look to be a truly solid outfit.

It was a rough and tumble outing marred by controversial penalty drama, but the Union suffered their first defeat of the campaign to a Nashville side lacking in confidence on Sunday.

It is no secret that without a stellar performance from Tai Baribo, Philadelphia looked far more toothless in attack than we have been used to this season, but the platform is certainly there for them to bounce back.

5. Columbus Crew (no movement)

The Crew may still be reeling from being dumped out of the Champions Cup by LAFC, but they haven't let the distraction derail the start to their MLS campaign too much.

Losing the likes of Cucho Hernandez, Christian Ramirez, and Alexandru Mățan was always going to be a stumbling block, even for a Wilfried Nancy coached team, but the Crew have stayed solid with an unbeaten start to the season.

4. San Diego FC (👍)

The MLS newcomers are slowly, but surely creeping their way up the power rankings.

After a home draw with the Crew over the weekend, Mikey Varas' side moved to four games unbeaten to start life in the division, and they already look like one of the toughest outs in the west.

3. Charlotte FC (👍)

Charlotte are well and truly coming into their own under Dean Smith. With the addition of some stardust in the offseason, the side from the Mint City has now knocked off Atlanta United and FC Cincinnati in back-to-back weeks.

Don't look now MLS fans, Charlotte are finally putting their raucous home atmosphere to intimidating use.

2. Vancouver Whitecaps (👍)

After a famous victory against Monterrey in the Champions Cup during the week, Vancouver remained in winning form by picking up three points away to FC Dallas on Matchday 4.

The 'Caps are now the only team in MLS to win all four of their games to start the season, and their performances back up their place in the standings.

Jesper Sørensen might just be a magician.

1. Inter Miami (no movement)

The Herons had their first big test over the weekend in front of 40,000 plus in Atlanta, but they passed with flying colors.

Star man Lionel Messi was at the heart of the victory of course, but it was made all the sweeter by hometown hero Fafà Picault coming off of the bench to bag the winner in the dying minutes.

Despite winning the Supporters Shield with a record amount of points last season, Inter Miami look to have actually improved in the early days of the Javier Mascherano era.
