The Copa del Rey final between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid lived up to its lively build-up as the two teams gave their all to turn out the winners. The Blaugranes were ultimately able to get the better of the Merengues and won their 32nd Copa del Rey title as a result.
Now, their attention will be focused on another crucial upcoming game, as they face Inter Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Wednesday, and the attention of the players and the fans will now be focused on this game.
For this match, one of the details that can end up having a significant impact on the result of the tie has already been determined, as Diario AS reports that the French referee Clement Turpin will be in charge of this Barcelona vs Inter Milan game.
This will be the fifth time that the Frenchman officiates a match for Barcelona, and it has already been two years since the Catalan team played under his watch.
However, the Blaugranes do not enjoy a very favorable record when playing under Turpin, having gotten two wins and two losses so far.
The two wins came in the group stage matches against Dynamo Kyiv and Borussia Dortmund. On the other hand, the losses have been more painful and memorable. One of these losses came against Roma in 2018, when the Italians knocked the Catalans out with a 3-0 win in the second leg, despite Barcelona believing they had the tie in the bag.

The other loss came against Manchester United two years ago, and once again resulted in their elimination as the Red Devils beat them 2-1 in the Europa League play-off game.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan themselves have an even worse record under Clement Turpin, as they have lost three of the five matches against Hajduk Split, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, they have played under the Frenchman.
Now, it remains to be seen which of these two sides will get a win in the first leg of the Barcelona vs Inter Milan tie.
