FC Barcelona have confirmed their squad list for the upcoming Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid, with a significant highlight being the return of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

This will be the German goalkeeper’s first appearance since his serious knee injury sustained in the match against Villarreal earlier in the season.

While Wojciech Szczesny will remain in goal for the final, Ter Stegen’s presence on the bench is seen as an emotional and psychological boost for the young team.

Who is missing?

Despite the return of Ter Stegen, Barcelona will be without two important figures: Robert Lewandowski and Alejandro Balde.

Lewandowski’s absence is a blow to Barcelona’s attacking strength, but the team will look to make up for it with Ferran Torres, who is expected to lead the attack alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha in the front three.

Balde’s absence is also noteworthy, as he has been in exceptional form this season. However, Gerard Martin has been progressing well and can fill in adequately on the left flank.

Manager Hansi Flick has the depth in his squad to field one of his strongest starting XIs while also having viable alternatives on the bench.

Additionally, Barcelona will have to cope with the continued absence of Marc Casado and Marc Bernal, who are still in recovery and will not be available for the final. Despite this, the squad remains strong and ready for the challenge.
