Tottenham’s 5-1 hammering at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday has left them slumped in 16th place in the Premier League.
Only the three sides already relegated have lost more Premier League games this season. Ange Postecoglou’s men have now been beaten 19 times – a stat that sums up just how poor they’ve been.
That defeat also means they’ve equalled their worst-ever Premier League season in terms of losses, matching the 19 they suffered in both 1993/94 and 2003/04. One more defeat in their final four games, and it’ll officially go down as their worst top-flight campaign in Premier League history.
Next up, it’s a trip across London to face 17th-placed West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday – and if they lose that, they’ll be left just above the drop zone.
Their last three matches aren’t exactly easy either: they host Crystal Palace, travel to Aston Villa, and round things off at home to Brighton.
In between all that, Spurs have got two of the biggest games in their recent history – the Europa League semi-finals. They host Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt on Thursday in the first leg, and with their league form in the bin, they’re now going all in on Europe.
If they make it through, they’ll face either Manchester United – also struggling – or Athletic Bilbao in the final in Bilbao, with a shot at ending their 41-year wait for a European trophy.
