Fikayo Tomori rejected both Juventus and Spurs in January to stay at AC Milan, but having lost his starting spot again, a move could actually materialise in the summer.
Tomori has remained on the bench in the last five league games and it doesn’t look like he will get a starting spot any time soon. As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), it’s a rather strange situation as the Englishman initially was heavily used by Sergio Conceicao.
Thinking that he had the support of Conceicao, and thus playing time on the cards, the centre-back said no to both Juventus and Tottenham during the January window. The London side offered €25m plus bonuses to Milan, who accepted the offer, but they couldn’t get the player to say yes.
Just two months later, history is repeating itself as Milan are looking at offloading Tomori this summer. As opposed to January, however, the player himself will likely be more open to the idea this time out given the lack of playing time.
There will surely be offers from the Premier League, as Tuttosport concludes, and it remains to be seen if Spurs will make a new attempt. Tomori has a contract until 2027 with the Rossoneri so the market value perhaps hasn’t changed that much, but it might be difficult to get around €30m.
