Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck insists his team has no reason to fear Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
During his recent interview via FCInterNews, Bisseck praised Bayern’s strength but admitted it shouldn’t faze Inter much.
Head coach Simone Inzaghi has set his sights on a coveted treble this season.
With Inter on course to defend the title in Serie A, the team is craving success in the Coppa Italia and Europe.
Indeed, lifting a first Champions League title since 2010 is among Inzaghi’s priorities.
However, Inter must get past runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich to reach the semi-finals.
Despite the Bavarians’ outstanding quality, the Italian giants have been remarkable on the continental front this term.
For perspective, Inter qualified for the quarter-finals as the competition’s best defensive side.
They’ve only conceded twice while netting 15 in return.
Therefore, they’re well-positioned to knock Vincent Kompany’s side out of Europe’s most prestigious tournament.
Away on international duty with Germany, Yann Bisseck addressed the press ahead of a blockbuster game against Italy.
Naturally, Inter’s highly anticipated showdown against Bayern Munich was one of the hottest points of discussion.

“Bayern has incredibly strong players, both in attack and defense,” he admitted. “It won’t be easy, especially the first match at the Allianz Arena.
“But we are in great shape, well-trained, and have nothing to fear.
“I believe we can achieve something positive if we bring our best performances to the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Bisseck explained Die Mannschaft’s initiation ritual for newcomers.
“That was the first question I asked when I arrived. The guys told me it’s not mandatory,” he added.
“But I heard that after playing your first minutes, you have to give a speech in the locker room.
“So, we’ll see what I say then.”
