Roma attacker Matias Soulé spoke to ESPN ahead of the finale of his first season with the Giallorossi.

“I didn’t start this season very well, but fortunately things are going well now. We are fighting for a place in the Champions League and hopefully we can get it.”

“Scoring in the derby was a dream, it was my first derby and I managed to score that goal. It was a beautiful feeling. Scoring a goal in a match like this changes things, especially your self-confidence. We wanted to win, but the way the match went, a point was better than nothing.”

“Dybala and Paredes? They are two great footballers and above all great people. We laugh a lot, we spend a lot of time together and thanks to them I adapted very quickly.”

“By playing more consistently I hope to eventually be called up for the national team,” he added.

“My dream? I hope to win something here with Roma and to be able to play in an important tournament with the national team in the future.”
