This rising Bournemouth team are one of the biggest stories in the league this year, and it’s no surprise that all of their key pieces – as well as their manager – are being linked with summer transfer.
We’ve already seen left back Milos Kerkez and centre back Dean Huijsen mentioned in connection with Chelsea a lot, and today we can add a third name to that list.
Winger Antoine Semenyo, who can also lead the line, has proved to be a real hit in the Premier League, and is now among those players regularly mentioned with the potential to move to a traditional big 6 club.
CaughtOffside today write that Chelsea, along with Tottenham, Man U and Arsenal, and are looking at the 25 year old, who has 7 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League this season.
His role as a sort of wide striker attacking spaces, working hard and using his physicality is really reminiscent of Nicolas Jackson. If we’re looking for someone to be a steady replacement for Jackson, Semenyo might be a dream option, especially with a bit more coaching to play through the middle more often.

As ever, one has to consider Chelsea’s transfer policy in these situations. Semenyo is older than the profile of players we’ve been targeting in this current project, which immediately makes this feel unlikely. It’s not impossible, but we’d need to get a great deal on his price to make it feasible to bend those rules.
But the €40m price tag mentioned in this piece also sounds incredibly hopeful – if there are indeed so many top sides interested, we will struggle to get him for less than €50m or €60m, we reckon.
This is one that’s worth watching – but it’s a long way from feeling concrete.
