The Argentina vs Ecuador CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying match will be broadcast live online and on TV as La Albiceleste hosts La Tricolor at the Estadio Alberto Jose Armando this Thursday, October 8, at 5:30 p.m. Pacific.
Argentina is the heavy favorite in this matchup with a world-class squad and the home-field advantage. There are several options in net for Manager Lionel Scaloni with Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa, Esteban Andrada of Boca Juniors and Franco Armani of River Plate.
The backline is Argentina’s weakest component, but the attack is impressive with players like Lionel Messi, Alejandro Gomez of Atalanta and Paulo Dybala of Juventus. It will be interesting to see how Scaloni sets up his team with a plethora of options as Argentina have the ability to get a comfortable win in this match.
Ecuador is usually a tough opponent at home in these qualifiers, but tends to struggle on the road. Former Boca Juniors manager Gustavo Alfaro will try and guide La Tricolor to a World Cup berth, but this is a very tough match to start off the campaign.
Ecuador has an intriguing squad with a rigid backline led by Villarreal’s Pervis Estupinan, who is set for a very busy day. La Tri has an interesting attack with a lot of pace featuring players like Renato Ibarra, Angel Mena, Michael Estrada and Enner Valencia.
