Barcelona have secured a deal to keep striker Pau Victor at the club until 2029.
Victor joined the Barcelona reserve ranks on loan from Girona last season after struggling to break into their first team.
The short trip across Catalonia has proved crucial in his career development with 18 league goals scored in the 2023/24 season.
Barca B finished third in the Primera Federacion (third tier) before losing out to Cordoba in the play off race.
Barcelona have been in talks with Girona in recent weeks despite no immediate plans to promote him to the first team in the months ahead.
The fee to retain him is rumoured to be around €2.7m paid up front, as per Cadena SER, with the commitment of a five year contract agreed for the 22-year-old.
Girona will retain a 50% sell on clause, up until the end of the 2024/25 campaign, which will reduce to 30% in the coming years if Barcelona chose to move him on.
