Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Aston Villa star Diego Carlos and the Villans regarding a transfer, it has been claimed in Turkey.

Unai Emery is in the market for additions and has just landed Donyell Malen, with Jaden Philogene shipped out to help fund it.

Now the Villa Park side could be set to make more room in the squad and on the wage bill.

Emery’s side have been looking to comply with the Premier League’s PSR rules and more outgoings are on the cards.

Brazilian central defender Carlos is a player who has been linked with a move away from Villa Park since the summer transfer window and those links are still alive.

A Jose Mourinho-coached Fenerbahce have been looking to bring central defenders in and Carlos emerged as a top option for them.

Now according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, the Yellow Canaries have an agreement in place with the club and the player over a move.

It appears to be a matter of time before the 31-year-old Brazilian’s departure from Villa Park becomes official.

However, the terms of the agreement remain unclear and all eyes will be on Aston Villa and whether there is any confirmation from their end.
