Luke McCormick is set to take a temporary step down to the English fifth tier to link up with the Gloucestershire outfit.
National League side Forest Green Rovers have agreed a deal to sign Bristol Rovers midfielder Luke McCormick on loan, Football League World understands.
The 25-year-old has struggled to secure regular starts during the 2024/25 campaign thus far - and he was even an unused substitute in Rovers' last league game away at Cambridge United.
Being left on the bench in an important game, the midfielder may now be keen to secure a temporary move away from the Memorial Stadium, even though he has been able to win a fairly respectable amount of game time in League One this season.
New boss Inigo Calderon may now be at the helm, but he hasn't exactly been one of the first names on the teamsheet under the ex-Brighton and Hove Albion man, who seems willing to sanction a loan exit for the player.
