Hansi Flick provides Gavi injury update ahead of Barcelona vs Real Betis | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of midfield star Gavi.

This comes with a view to Barca’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Real Betis.

Gavi was for his part an unexpected absentee from the participating Blaugrana party which booked their spot in the finale of the Copa del Rey this past Wednesday.

With Dani Olmo absent, the Spanish international was tipped to play a leading role, only to remain glued to the bench for the entirety of the 90 minutes.

Post-match, it was subsequently revealed as much came after the 20-year-old suffered a fitness issue in the warm-up.

With his status to feature against Real Betis tomorrow evening having been thrown up in the air as a result, the subject of Gavi’s current status was in turn put to boss Hansi Flick on Friday.

And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to provide a positive update, confirming:

“Gavi has nothing serious. He could play tomorrow.”
