Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is confident his team will recover from tonight’s embarrassing Coppa Italia loss to AC Milan.
Speaking to Inter TV via FCInterNews, the 49-year-old urged his players to bounce back ahead of a brutal run-in.
Sergio Conceicao’s side sliced Inter’s treble dream into pieces, beating the Nerazzurri 3-0 at San Siro.
As a result of a catastrophic performance, Inter lost a third game against Milan in one season for the first time in 20 years.
Indeed, Luka Jovic ran the show at San Siro, with Tijjani Reijnders adding insult to injury down the final stretch.
Milan’s win intensified the pressure on Inter after Bologna beat them 1-0 in Serie A last weekend to blow the Scudetto race wide open.
Level on points with Napoli, Inzaghi’s charges must return to winning ways against Roma on Sunday.
However, it could prove easier said than done, with the Giallorossi flying high under veteran coach Claudio Ranieri.

“In the first half, we needed to be sharper,” Simone Inzaghi said. “We created chances but missed out by mere centimeter.
“We’re really disappointed because we wanted to reach the final with all our might, especially in front of our fans.
“But we didn’t manage it. We’ll try to move forward in the best possible way.”
Asked what happened in the second half, Inzaghi replied: “We did much better in the first half.
“After the break, we tried to react, but we lacked the same clarity we had earlier.
“Their goalkeeper made a great save. Credit to Milan, they deserved the final. We’ll continue on our path.
“Losing a derby always hurts. We’ll analyze the match and aim to move forward even stronger.
“It’s the first time we’ve lost two in a row this season. We have to bounce back, and I’m confident we will.”
