Inter Milan have clinched a deal to sign Newell’s Old Boys midfielder Tomas Perez, and are still in talks for Mateo Silvetti.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter have been working to sign a couple of young players from Argentina.
And both, as it happens, play for Newell’s Old Boys.
The Nerazzurri’s intention has been to sign both teenagers to be part of their Under-23 squad next season.
The Gazzetta confirm that Inter have all but completed the signing of midfielder Tomas Perez.
The Nerazzurri have been in talks with Newell’s for the 19-year-old in recent weeks.
And those negotiations have gone well. The President of Newell’s even confirmed as much.
Reportedly, Inter will sign Perez in a deal worth a total of around €9 million with add-ons.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are still targeting a deal for Perez’s teammate Mateo Silvetti.
However, the Gazzetta reports, there is still some way to go in those negotiations.
Newell’s are seeking a fee of no less than €10 million for 18-year-old forward Silvetti. They’ve yet to agree terms with Inter.
But nevertheless, the Nerazzurri’s efforts to sign Silvetti very much continue.
