Inzaghi admits: “Roma played a great game.”

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was asked about the keys to Roma’s win over Inter at San Siro today.

The Italian technician spoke to DAZN at full-time.

“It’s football, we come from 3 defeats that hurt us a lot,” said Inzaghi. “But the team tried, not with great lucidity. We put our heart into it, the people saw it.”

“Today’s match was very important, the applause from the fans at the end was very nice. It’s a bad defeat, we tried to avoid it with heart and generosity. The players will always have my gratitude.”

“We never pressed as a team, too many individual initiatives, and we conceded too easily,” he added.

“Roma played a great match, we tried but this is football. We lacked clarity. There are still important matches, we need to find clarity and bounce back.”
