WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this morning.
Pelgander arrived at Leicester City from Swedish club KIF Örebro last season and she signed a long-term contract at The King Power Stadium. The 20-year-old made 11 appearances for The Foxes in all competitions in the second half of last season.
The midfielder has struggled for regular starts this term, despite Leicester City being light on squad numbers. Pelgander’s only start has come in the Subway Women’s League Cup while she has been restricted to just 46 minutes of football in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
With Pelgander struggling to break into the Leicester City side, she has been allowed to return to her native Sweden and she has joined FC Rosengård on loan. She will spend the first half of the 2025 OBOS Damallsvenskan season with FC Rosengård before returning to her parent club in the summer.
While Pelgander has been permitted to go out on loan, Leicester City manager Amandine Miquel is continuing to work hard to bring fresh faces to the club. The Foxes remain without several injured players and are particularly light in the attacking areas.
