Liverpool are showing keen interest in signing Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman in the summer, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Reds boss, Arne Slot, will likely make a few changes to the squad in the summer window, and several players could be allowed to leave.

Bolstering the forward department could be a priority, especially if Mohamed Salah leaves the club on a free transfer.

Plettenberg claims that Coman wants to leave the German giants in the summer window, and Bayern are happy to let him go. Liverpool have made an approach over his availability, but apart from that, there’s no concrete movement.

The 28-year-old started his playing career with Paris Saint-Germain. Then he moved to Juventus, and from there, he moved to Bayern, initially on loan, and later, the move was made permanent.

He has made 58 appearances for the France national team. He has won 11 league titles across all the clubs he has played in and also won the World Cup in 2022 with his country.

Liverpool will have to pay a transfer fee of around €30-40 million if they decide to sign him.

Coman has one Champions League trophy with Bayern, and he now wants to play in the Saudi Pro League, where at least four clubs are keen to sign him.

Liverpool could look to bring in new faces in their forward areas, especially if they decide to offload the likes of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, or even Salah.

Coman is a top-class player and would be a smart addition for Liverpool, but the Reds are highly unlikely to make a serious effort to bring him to Anfield.

Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes will probably look to sign young talents at that price. Moreover, Coman probably won’t be too motivated to move to the Premier League as he has already achieved a lot in his career.
