Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is a doubt ahead of his side’s visit from Fiorentina in Serie A on Saturday evening, as he was forced to withdraw from Sergio Conceicao’s training session on Friday, according to the latest updates.

Reijnders has been a constant in the Rossoneri midfield under both Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca this season. He has lined up as a started in 29 out of 30 Serie A matches in 2024-25, only missing one through suspension.

He has started in all 20 of Milan’s Serie A matches since that suspension, and was only taken off before full-time on one of those occasions.

Reijnders at risk of missing Milan-Fiorentina

However, reports from Gianluca Di Marzio confirm that the Netherlands international has been struggling with illness, which forced him to stop and retire midway through Milan’s preparatory training session on Friday.

He will have to be re-evaluated on Saturday morning, which means that it is currently nuclear whether he will be declared fit enough to play against Fiorentina later on Saturday evening.
