Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have today confirmed the contract extension of Kevin Kampl until 2024.
“RB Leipzig is my club, Leipzig is my city and it’s been a second home for me and my family for a long time now. I’ve had a great and successful time here since 2017 and I’m proud to be staying here as we continue to write more history,” said Kampl.
“We’ve now got a massive game coming up with our third Pokal final in Berlin and we want to bring the trophy back to Leipzig this time. Our fans deserve it. Being able to announce my new contract before the final is even nicer and shows that we’re going to continue this journey together.”
The 31-year-old joined RB Leipzig from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017 for €20m and has played 170 games in all competitions.
