Following a disappointing half-season at FC Barcelona, the Brazilian striker Vitor Roque is now thriving while playing on loan with the La Liga side Real Betis.
Following this move that took place in the last summer transfer window, the forward has been regaining some of the form that made him such an exciting striker while he was playing for Atletico Paranaense in his native country.
His adaptation to the Sevilla club is expected to be even more easier now, as the Verdiblancos have also landed his compatriot Antony from Manchester United. This move can further help bring the best out of Roque as he usually is playing quite alone near the opposition area, and Antony’s arrival can provide him with much help.
Meanwhile, his market value is also on the rise, driven by his goals, growing popularity, and ability to adapt to different leagues, making him an increasingly attractive transfer target.
His current loan with Real Betis is for two years, and the Seville club will also have the option to get 80% of his rights for €25 million at the end of this loan spell.

Currently, Barcelona also have quite an attractive offer for Roque on the table, from one of the biggest clubs in his native country, Palmeiras. Spanish publication SPORT has provided some details of this offer made by the Brazilian club, and claims that their proposal reaches up to €27 million for 80% of Roque’s rights.
This offer is €2 million higher than what Betis would have to pay Barcelona for getting an equal degree of ownership of the player, and if finalized, the Blaugranes would get €5 million in profit from this operation.
Palmeiras will continue to try to convince Roque for a move back to Brazil till the end of the winter transfer window, and will continue their efforts next summer if they are unable to meet their objectives this month.
In this regard, they will be significantly helped by the €40 million they will receive from the 19-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis’ move to Manchester City.
