A photo centering on a pair of headline players from either side of the Clásico divide has on Friday turned heads online.

This comes after Real Madrid star Luka Modrić and Barcelona winger Raphinha crossed paths in the United Arab Emirates.

La Liga’s Christmas Holidays are of course ongoing at present, affording the stars of Spanish football the chance to spend some much-needed time away from the game, with their loved ones.

Many choose to seek out the warmth of some of the globe’s most high-profile destinations for their break, with the aforementioned Modrić and Raphinha no exceptions.

Both are currently in the UAE, specifically the city of Dubai.

And, on Friday, the pair came together for what appeared to be a friendly exchange, as captured in the photo below:

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Real Madrid will kickstart their fixture list for 2025 on January 3rd, in a La Liga meeting with Valencia.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have been pencilled in for a Copa del Rey clash with minnows Barbastro a day later.
