Porto were crowned Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira champions after rallying for a 4-3 win over Sporting Lisbon in extra-time on Saturday.
Scorers: Inacio 6′, Gonçalves 9′, Quenda 24′; Galeno 28′, 66′, González 64′, Jaime 101′
Sporting were licking their lips 10 minutes into the final as Gonçalo Inácio headed home the opener before Pedro Gonćalves’ strike doubled the lead.
Porto were then left shaking their heads as Geovany Quenda volleyed home a third midway through the first half, and it was a mountain to climb.
But then, VĂtor Bruno’s men finally turned up and scored four unanswered goals to lift their 86th official title.
Wenderson Galeno pulled one back after poking home beyond goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević before eventually securing a brace after the break.
Between his strikes, Nico González controlled a bobbling cross just over the penalty spot and stabbed the ball home.
All square, things went into extra-time and a dramatic winner decided this potential comeback of the century.

Substitute Iván Jaime’s deflected shot from outside the box dipped under the crossbar and beyond Kovačević, seeing Porto win 4-3.
