Last month, Ousmane Dembele, who has been in top form since the start of 2025, stirred up speculation by changing his Instagram profile picture to an old photo of himself and Gavi from their time together in Barcelona.
At least one member of the Spanish media didn’t like the move, adding more fuel to the ongoing discussion about Dembele’s intentions.
Paris Saint-Germain could have another Barcelona player on their radar, with Dembele potentially playing the role of recruiter. The club has a history of prying talent away from Barcelona, and this wouldn’t be the first time.
In recent transfer windows, the Ligue 1 leaders have focused on signing young players who are still developing their potential. Arnau Tenas and Dembele were the latest to make the switch from Barcelona to PSG—could another be next?

Fichajes reports that PSG are already planning for next season, with Gavi emerging as a key transfer target. Luis Enrique, who built a strong relationship with the young midfielder during their time with the Spanish national team, has urged the club’s board to make a serious effort to sign him.
Gavi’s situation at Barcelona has changed significantly in recent months. Since Hansi Flick took over, his playing time has dropped, and he was even left on the bench for crucial matches like the Copa del Rey clash against Atletico Madrid. Flick’s preference for Fermín López has cost Gavi the undisputed starting role he once held, raising questions about his future at the club.
However, signing him won’t be easy. Barcelona still consider him a key part of their future, and his release clause is substantial. Whether a move happens will depend on Gavi’s willingness to leave and the outcome of his discussions with Flick and the club’s leadership.
