He's never been known as a prolific goalscorer, but Werder Bremen's Jens Stage just can't stop scoring this season.
On Saturday, he scored the winner in Werder's 1-0 win over Bochum, taking his tally for the season to an impressive six league goals.
That's despite being limited to just nine league appearances through injury and not playing in a particularly attacking role.
Asked to explain his fine form in front of goal, the Danish midfielder pointed to a mental factor.
"I've always said that if you score the first goal, the second one will come. Then it gets easier. I know that if I get into the box, I'll get my chances," Stage told Kicker.
Remarkably, the Danish midfielder has already scored as many league goals this season as he did in his first two seasons at Werder combined.
"Especially last season, I had as many chances as I have now: I was always in the box, I always had my chances, but I wasn't as good at finishing.
“The psychological part is very important. I'm in a very good mood at the moment when it comes to scoring goals,” said the Dane.
