Toni Kroos reacts to Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey final defeat | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid star Toni Kroos was quick to take to social media on Saturday night, to provide his response to Los Blancos’ devastating latest defeat.

Real of course marked their return to action yesterday evening.

With silverware on the line in the finale of the Copa del Rey, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops made the trip to Seville, for a showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.

And despite recovering from a goal down to take the lead during the 2nd-half, the capital heavyweights in the end couldn’t hold on.

After proceedings were sent to extra-time, Jules Koundé proved himself the hero, in a 3-2 Barcelona triumph.

Amid what has been a hugely disappointing season all told for Real Madrid to date, the emotion, in turn, came pouring out on the part of Los Merengues’ players following the full-time whistle.

And as alluded to above, quick to throw his backing behind Carlo Ancelotti’s squad (many of whom are his former teammates) post-match was ex-Real standout Toni Kroos.

In a post on his official Instagram account almost immediately following the full-time whistle at La Cartuja, the retired Kroos wrote:

‘Hala Madrid! Siempre!!! (Always)’
