It’s the first leg of the second play-off round for this season’s Women’s Champions League with the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus in action.

Here’s what happened.

Arsenal v Ajax

Scorers: Blackstenius 23′, Little (PEN) 57′; Leuchter 17′ 83′

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Ajax as Romée Leuchter netted twice for the Dutch giants.

This game started brilliantly as opened the scoring for Ajax on 17 minutes before Stina Blackstenius levelled things up for the Gunners soon after.

The north London side eventually went ahead after the break as Kim Little converted a penalty on the hour mark.

With eight minutes to go however, Ajax equalised as Leuchter scored her second of the game.

Katue McCabe thought she had netted the winner in added time but her effort was ruled out for offside.

Rangers v Benfica

Scorers: McCoy 25′ 58′; Vitória 38′ 56′, Esson (OG) 78′

A brilliant game at Ibrox went the way of Benfica as they beat Rangers 3-2 thanks to a late own goal.

The Scottish side took the lead after 25 minutes as Brogan Hay crossed from the right to see Kayla McCoy head home.

The Portuguese visitors equalised jut before the break though as Ana Vitória finished well.

Into the second half and Benfica went ahead as Vitória scored her second of the game but that was cancelled out just two minutes later by McCoy.

This topsy-turvy game then took another turn as Victoria Esson put one in her own net to give the visitors the lead.

Real Sociedad v Bayern Munich

Scorers: Schüller 45′

Bayern Munich took a one-goal lead into the second leg of their Champions League play-off as they held on for a win against Real Sociedad.

The German side took the lead right on the stroke of half time as Lea Schüller finished with aplomb after some fine work in midfield by Klara Bühl.

And although the Basque side pushed for an equaliser it was Bayern who came away with the victory.

HB Køge v Juventus

Scorers: Pokorny 8′; Nilden 21′

Juventus couldn’t make the most of their dominance as they were held to a 1-1 draw by HB Køge.

The Turin giants travelled to Denmark fresh off the back of a domestic win over Roma last weekend with Joe Montemurro’s side unbeaten in all competitions so far.

It was the home side who took the lead though as Maddie Ann Pokorny netted inside 8 minutes but the Bianconeri went on to equalise through Amanda Nilden.

But that was how it stayed as the Italian outfit failed to capitalise on their monopoly of the ball.

Wednesday’s games include Rosenborg v Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain v Häcken.
