Two Premier League clubs in Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City are currently negotiating with Fiorentina forward Jonathan Ikone, according to Sunday’s reports.
Ikone has been left out of Fiorentina’s matchday squad to face Venezia in Serie A on Sunday afternoon due to his increasingly likely departure this summer.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, both Wolves and Leicester are currently negotiating with Ikone, but Gary O’Neil’s side are understood to have the upper hand in talks so far.
The four-time France international has not started in either of Fiorentina’s competitive fixtures so far this season, but did emerge off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Parma last weekend, and again in the 3-3 draw with Puskas Akademia in the Conference League play-off round on Thursday.
The 26-year-old has made 117 competitive appearances for Fiorentina since joining from Lille in 2021, scoring 12 goals in all competitions along the way. Eight of those strikes have come in the league.
