East Bengal vs Kerala Blasters Highlights Opening Round of Super Cup 2025

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has unveiled the fixtures for the Super Cup 2025, with a high-profile clash between Kerala Blasters and defending champions East Bengal set to headline the round of 16.

The tournament will take place in Bhubaneswar from April 20 to May 3, featuring all 13 Indian Super League clubs alongside the top three I-League teams—Churchill Brothers, Inter Kashi, and Real Kashmir.

The opening round schedule begins on April 20 with the marquee Kerala Blasters vs East Bengal match, followed by Mohun Bagan taking on the third-placed I-League team. The following day will see FC Goa face the second I-League qualifier, while Odisha FC meets Punjab FC.

On April 23, Bengaluru FC will compete against the top I-League team, and Mumbai City FC will battle Chennaiyin FC. The first round concludes on April 24 with NorthEast United FC facing Mohammedan SC and Jamshedpur FC playing Hyderabad FC.

While the I-League season has concluded, the final standings remain unconfirmed due to a pending decision regarding Inter Kashi's disputed three points from a fixture. Should Kashi be awarded these points, they would move ahead of Churchill Brothers in the standings.

The competition carries significant weight beyond the trophy itself, as the Super Cup champion will secure a coveted spot in the AFC Champions League 2 qualifiers, providing an opportunity to compete at the continental level.
