After a difficult stint at Olympique de Marseille, Azzedine Ounahi (24) has got his career back on track at Panathinaikos. The Morocco international has made 33 appearances for the club in all competitions and he is now attracting interest ahead of the opening of the transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Ounahi made the move from SCO Angers following a breakout at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, however, he failed to replicate those levels for OM and so departed in the summer. In Greece, he has scored three goals and registered seven assists.
The midfielder has long-since been linked with a move to the Middle East and this could once again be on the cards come the summer, Foot Mercato understands. Without citing the clubs, the publication reports that multiple clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in the player.
Marseille will demand €12m for Ounahi, who is under contract with the club until 2027.
