Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is unsure if Jorginho will be back before the end of the season.
Jorginho injured his ribs earlier this month during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brentford at Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder has not played since, missing the second leg of the Gunners’ Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid.
Jorginho is set to miss both legs of the semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain, too, and Arteta is unsure if the 33-year-old will be back before the end of this season.
“I hope so, but I am not certain,” he said. “So we have to see how he evolves in the next few days, I would say few weeks.
“The doctor was quite cautious still about talking about any dates, so let’s see. The good news is that he is improving, he is feeling much better.
“It was quite a scary situation and he is in a good place now.”

Jorginho will miss Wednesday’s game with Crystal Palace and the same goes for Riccardo Calafiori, who is out with a knee injury, but he is closing in on a return and could return for the clashes with PSG.
The defender has had a stop-start season, with this his fifth stint on the sidelines due to injury. Arteta believes some of that is down to bad luck, but that the club can also manage his workload better next season.
“Well, three of the injuries, obviously they are impact injuries,” he said. “One is a really bad twist that could have been worse, to be fair.
“It’s managing the player as well, so now we learn many more things about the player and how we can be much more on top of certain situations to try to prevent them.
“But it is true the two main ones, they have been really unlucky and very little we could have done differently.”
Arsenal have had a boost ahead of their game with Crystal Palace in that Bukayo Saka is fit to feature.
The winger got a kick to his Achilles during the win at Ipswich from defender Leif Davis, who was sent off.
But Arteta said: “If we want to, I think he will have a good chance to play tomorrow.”
