Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen recently sat down for a rapid-fire interview with Cafe de Finca (h/t SPORT).

The German international offered his thoughts on multiple topics, including his time at Barcelona so far, as well as talking about the likes of Oliver Kahn and Pedri.

Ter Stegen’s rapid-fire interview

Best goalkeeper in history: Ter Stegen didn’t hesitate to point out Oliver Kahn, the Bayern Munich legend, who has been an idol for the former Borussia Monchengladbach shot-stopper.

Player he wished to play with: The Barcelona star once again named Oliver Kahn, who retired from professional football in 2008, when ter Stegen was still plying his trade for the Gladbach youth team.

Best save of his career: A brilliant stop from Robert Lewandowski during the 2015 Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich – one of the key moments that helped Barça reach the final in Berlin.

Club he would have liked to play for: Ter Stegen played this one safe, stating, “I’m delighted at Barça,”

Player he connects with most on the pitch: Ter Stegen named Pedri, who has been a force to be reckoned with under Hansi Flick this season.

Striker he feared the most: Ter Stegen brought back some nostalgia by naming Aritz Aduriz, the Bilbao goalscoring legend who has over 150 goals in La Liga.

Worst goal he’s conceded: Finally, ter Stegen mentioned the fourth goal against Liverpool at Anfield in 2019 as the worst goal he has ever conceded in his career.

Ter Stegen’s rapid-fire interview comes just a day after Barcelona’s narrow win over Mallorca, where the German was not a part of the team.

However, as Barça gear up for the Copa Del Rey final against Real Madrid this weekend, there is a slight possibility the German could make a surprise feature in the squad.
