Simon Jordan struggling to cope with Newcastle United trophy success – Quite pathetic

Well Newcastle United have certainly ruffled a few feathers by defeating media darlings Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final.
Since the final I have been happy but calm and have never tried to take the proverbial out of rival fans or clubs.
I think that was because there was such a feeling of relief after United’s victory, which led to a soothing level of contentment.
It was mine/our moment if you like.
As we all know, it was quite an achievement to lift the trophy, having to beat top sides nearly every step of the way, including the current Premier League top four.
The League Cup success coming due to wins for United over Forest, AFC Wimbledon, Chelsea, Brentford, Arsenal (twice!) and then champions-elect Liverpool.
I always said that when Newcastle United eventually won something, we would have to do it by the hard route.
Since our victory I have been particularly disappointed in Talksport’s Simon Jordan.
Jordan is an intelligent bloke, but his obvious disdain regarding Newcastle United and our win at Wembley, has been there for all to see and listen to.
He has belittled our cup win more than once, whilst trying to disguise his obvious angst, and has been blatantly masquerading that he is somehow complimenting and is happy for us.
Martin Keown putting Simon Jordan right, the day after Liverpool 1 Newcastle 2:
Going back in time, Simon Jordan was made to look a complete fool in October 2021.
Only a day after nationally proclaiming that the potential takeover of Newcastle United was as “dead as a dead duck in deadland”, we all know what happened.
He did later apologise, said that he had totally got it wrong.
Fair play, but you could still tell that he wasn’t happy with the Newcastle United takeover at St James’ Park, and that Amanda Staveley had also had the last laugh on him.
Since then, there have been quite a few times when Simon Jordan has only begrudgingly given Eddie Howe and Newcastle United some praise.
The thing is, unlike what Jordan and everybody else seems to think, United and our loyal supporters aren’t in it for appraisals and pats on the head, like quite a few others.
Simon Jordan has often spoke in the past of his admiration for Sir John Hall, who was also his neighbour whilst living out in Spain.
