A head-turning statistic, highlighting the impressive campaign being enjoyed by Barcelona star Ferran Torres, has on Saturday evening come to the fore online.
This comes owing to the former Manchester City man’s exploits in Barcelona’s latest outing.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Real Betis in Catalunya’s capital.
The aforementioned Ferran, meanwhile, was afforded a rare starting berth in the clash, stepping in in place of the rested Raphinha.
And amid a stellar recent run of individual form, the Spanish international wasted little time in making his mark once more this evening.
Picked out in a central position outside the Betis penalty area, Ferran did brilliantly to direct a first-time pass into the feet of Gavi, who slotted home the game’s opening goal.
And such exploits, as alluded to above, have since given rise to quite the statistic.
As revealed by StatMuse, despite generally acting as a ‘super sub’, Ferran has now racked up more combined goals and assists this La Liga season than Real Madrid counterpart Rodrygo, in 950 fewer minutes on the pitch.
