Manchester United are currently going through a severe crisis and the club feel that only good business in the transfer window can bring them out of it.

The Red Devils are currently 13th in the Premier League and considering it is April, they are not expected to qualify for a place in a European competition through their league position.

Their best bet to play in the Champions League next season is by winning the Europa League this season.

Even if they manage to win it, it would only paper over the cracks at the club. They need new additions to the squad in almost all the positions.

Their attack and defense have been particularly poor and Ruben Amorim is ready to address that issue in the summer transfer window.

Another position that has been a huge cause of concern for the Red Devils this season is the goalkeeping position.

Andre Onana has made high profile mistakes again this season and he could be shown the exit door at the club if latest reports are to be believed.

According to Fichajes, Man United are considering a bombshell move to bring David De Gea back to the club.

The Spanish goalkeeper left United in 2023 after failing to agree terms over a new deal at Old Trafford.

De Gea’s performance dipped during his last couple of seasons at Old Trafford, leading Erik ten Hag to make the decision to replace him in the summer of 2023.

Ten Hag, the former United manager, spent €55 million to bring in Onana from Inter Milan.

After being without a club for nearly a year, De Gea joined Serie A side Fiorentina in August 2024, where the 24-year-old has been impressive in Italy this season.

As per the report, people at Old Trafford feel that the Spaniard’s departure from the club was a mistake.

De Gea has shown he can still play at the top level with his brilliant performances this season.

His current contract at Fiorentina expires in June but the Italian side are expected to offer him a contract of another year.

Going back to De Gea would publicly embarrass Man United about the decision they made to let him leave.

However, it would offer them a reliable goalkeeper who could be available for free in the market.
