As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Mohammed Kudus’ release clause for Saudi Arabian clubs is higher than the £85m fee set for European teams.
Valued at €50m by Transfermarkt, the Ghanian has endured a poor season by all standards. With just four goal contributions (three goals and one assist) in 24 Premier League games, Kudus also served a five-match ban for raising his hands to both Micky van de Ven and Pape Sarr during their 4-1 defeat against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in November.
According to Plettenberg, Saudi clubs are interested in signing Kudus but at this stage, nothing is concrete despite loose enquiries. The Sky Germany journalist also doesn’t mention what the reported release clause is for Saudi clubs.
Graeme Bailey further adds that despite interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, among others, no club would considering reaching such a fee for the former Ajax player.
