FC Barcelona got the full three points as they faced Osasuna last night in the La Liga game for matchday 27 which was previously postponed due to the death of Dr. Carles Minarro.
However, the schedule decided for this game made getting a win quite a difficult task for the Blaugranes, as most of their internationals could not get enough rest ahead of this game.
In fact, the Catalans had to pay a significant price for this win, as they saw their midfielder Dani Olmo getting subbed out in the first half with an injury. Furthermore, Frenkie de Jong was also subbed out at half-time, but fortunately, he is not suffering from anything serious.
The Dutchman’s substitution allowed Pablo Torre, who has been among the players with the least number of minutes this season, to step on the pitch. After taking some time to adjust to the game, the Spaniard showed some glimpses of his talent in the 45 minutes he got in this match.
As SPORT has reported, the young midfielder also talked to the media after the game. Torre highlighted the difficulty the team faced in winning this game amid a very hectic schedule:
“In the end, we have many matches, and they are not easy. We always want to win and take the lead quickly, but sometimes it’s tough. We have confidence in this team, and we’ll keep winning.”
The Barcelona midfielder admitted he tried to score an outrageous goal in the end and also previewed the upcoming La Liga game, against the side he played with last season on loan, Girona:
“Yes (I wanted to score directly from a corner at the end), I wanted to leave with a goal. Eric and I know how Girona works; they have an outstanding coach, and it will be tough, but we have to use our strengths. For me, it’s a dream to be here at Barça. We all want to play, and we know it’s difficult, but for me, it’s a dream, and I’m learning a lot from all these beasts.”
While Pablo Torre is not getting a lot of opportunities to play this season, getting to train with some of the biggest names in football will definitely also help him grow. Hopefully, he will also add the needed minutes to continue his development and growth in the months and years to come.
