At the start of last month’s FIFA international window, Paris Saint-Germain received some unfortunate news. Kang-in Lee was injured during South Korea’s 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Oman.
The timing couldn’t have been worse for Luis Enrique and his team, who were coming off impressive victories over Liverpool and Olympique de Marseille. The break has interrupted their momentum as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Aston Villa.

After a well-deserved rest on Sunday, PSG kicked off their preparations for the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal against Aston Villa on Monday morning. Some great news highlighted the training session at the PSG Campus: Lee is back (via Paris Team).
The South Korean international, sidelined with an ankle sprain during the international break, returned to team training. Even more encouraging, he participated in a practice match, as shown by the photos released by the club. The next question is whether he will see any minutes on Wednesday night against the Premier League side.
Moreover, there was a notable presence from captain Marquinhos. Although he’s suspended for Wednesday’s match at the Parc des Princes, the Brazilian defender still participated in the session.
Aston Villa and PSG come into the game with strong momentum. PSG recently secured their 13th league title with a 1-0 win over Angers, while Villa picked up a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in their latest outing.
