While there wasn’t much speculation about a move in January, reports suggest Paris Saint-Germain and other clubs could make a stronger push for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak this summer.
RMC Sport previously reported that PSG considered a swap deal involving Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio to bring Isak to Paris.
Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Isak. According to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the club has opened talks with his representatives and is preparing a significant bid. The Reds might even deviate from their usual transfer strategy to land the 25-year-old.
Newcastle have reportedly set Isak’s price at €180 million (£150 million), which would make him Liverpool’s most expensive signing, surpassing the £85 million they paid for Darwin Nunez in 2022.
Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are interested in Newcastle midfielders Sandro Tonali and Isak. Nonetheless, it appears one Premier League club could be on the way out.

The Guardian’s Ed Aarons reports that Arsenal see Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres as a more realistic option than Isak.
If Newcastle secure a Champions League spot this season, Isak’s future at the club won’t be in doubt, according to a recent report from journalist Mark Douglas. He reports that qualifying for Europe’s top competition would likely end any transfer speculation this summer. Newcastle currently sit just one point behind fourth-place Manchester City.
