Real Madrid fought tooth and nail to keep their La Liga title hopes alive, clinching a hard-earned 1-0 win against a stubborn Getafe side.
The victory, however, came at a steep price, with key players David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga sidelined by injuries, as confirmed by manager Carlo Ancelotti in his post-match comments.
Speaking to the media after the match, Ancelotti provided an update on the injury concerns. “David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga have picked up muscle injuries,” the Italian tactician revealed.
The Italian went on to confrim that both players will miss the highly anticipated Copa del Rey final against Barcelona. “They’re unlikely to recover in time for the Barcelona match,” he added.
The injuries unfolded during the game, with Alaba forced off just after the start of the second half after experiencing discomfort.

Camavinga, who replaced him in the heart of the backline, suffered his own setback late in the match.
During a physical challenge, the young Frenchman went down awkwardly and, despite attempting to play on, was unable to continue.
With Real Madrid having used all their substitutions, Camavinga bravely limped through the final moments to help secure the clean sheet.
With Camavinga and Alaba now ruled out, Ancelotti has yet another challenge of finding match-ready defenders for the upcoming Copa Del Rey final against Barcelona.
The absence of Camavinga, in particular, could force the Italian to play Fran Garcia at left-back, which is a grave risk given the fact that the Spaniard will be taking on the likes of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
